Women in Sustainable Architecture: Anna Surgenor

  • Comment

Senior technical adviser at the UK-GBC

In her technical capacity at the UK Green Building Council, Anna Surgenor focuses on encouraging industry action. The initiatives she has worked on have included leading industry groups looking to roll out DECs; integrating community-scale sustainable infrastructure; leading the development of the London 2012 Sustainability Lessons Learned series; kicking off an embodied carbon database and more lately developing Pinpoint – an online platform for industry practitioners.

Surgenor’s work at the UK-GBC has been key to bringing together professionals working within the built environment sector and in bringing about a greater understanding of sustainability measures.

The development of Pinpoint will allow those working in the industry to access existing resources such as case studies, courses and guidance, and it will be interesting to watch its development.
