Watch this flythrough of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners’ competition-winning design for a new terminal at Taoyuan International airport in Taiwan

The practice, will be working alongside Taiwan engineering firm CECI and global engineering consultancy Arup, on the new 640,000m² Terminal 3 building.

Capable of hosting 45 million passengers-a-year, the new terminal building includes boarding gates, concourses, and transport infrastructure.

The scheme is the largest of Taiwan’s ten major construction projects identified by the government, and has a total budget of 74.6 billion Taiwan new dollars (£1.49 billion).

Formerly known as Chiang Kai-shek International Airport, the airport is the largest in Taiwan and the eleventh busiest in the world.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
