The Shed: Dualchas Building Design

  • Comment

This larch-clad and corrugated sheet shed should prove economical in the extreme

With its solar panels, over-insulation and Scotland’s first grant-aided, exhaust-air heat pump to power the underfloor heating and hot-water system.

External shutters slide into place on a track in front of the large area of glazing, providing protection from wild Highland storms. A large wood-burning stove gives an additional point of focus to the open-plan living and dining area on the ground floor.
