Very surprised to see a single stair 46 storey tower being proposed in 2020?
Surely even a scissor stair could have been included as a minimum to help improve the fire escape provision. Something has to be learned from Grenfell and Architects have to take the lead on this. Also to squeeze in more flats they had to have the living rooms looking at each other over a narrow gap rather than out to the views!
Comment on: Why architects can’t work from home
Total rubbish who ever sanctioned this piece? Clearly just to wind up most sensible Architects who regularly work from home.. We have people in the office who work from home regularly some of them visualisers all you require is a stable internet connection and remote desktop. Working in Revit does require two screens but that's far from an issue that rules it out as a perfectly reasonable working solution. Life doesn't only revolve around a laptop or a tablet. Never mind the good old drawing board or the sketch pad.
Total waste of time and money moving an outdated institution from existing premises into undoubtedly costly (with the budget always increasing!) public funded white elephant.
Might as well put caravans on the site
