PLP's Helter Skelter replacement revealed

I think the strength of any building is that it can be taken out of context and still look good when scrutinised - The Shard, Gherkin, Cheese Grater, Walkie Talkie - if any were to be transposed elsewhere they retain a symmetry and style that transcends their current location. Regretfully I think the proposed design for 22, and by the own admission of this developer's site, is so compromised by the existing foundations and neighbouring buildings that it looks like a bulky and inelegant infill that has little intrinsic merit.
