Grimshaw team picked for £1bn Northern Line job

Re: "American Embassy" why has the American Embassy been allowed to build it's new building on an askew angle compared to the other buildings around it? I questioned it's architect and was told that if it was deliberately put on an "angle" "torque" otherwise it would have had a frontage facing the river! (I would have assumed that's what every building near the river would want) Plus the views from across the river would be enhanced if the Embassy was aligned with it's neighbours
