Video exclusive: Denise Scott Brown on why she deserves Pritzker recognition

I think Denise Scott Brown is great and she's correct. Johnson and his ilk were dinosaurs even in their day. Dinosaurs impose a male-predator pecking order. America is riddled with it. Needs to change. The profession in America needs serious shaking up and modernizing. Whoops! There goes my chance at a Pritzker! Just as well, I wouldn't want to partake in something that promotes the lie that one person is responsible for a design or a concept or a movement or a great building. That is mere aggrandizement of and by an élite. It arises in hubris and demeans the joint efforts that go to create a building both the profession and the wider industry.
