RIBA to introduce ‘Student Plus’ membership

This week the government has announced that tuition fees 'must rise' to protect standards in Universities from £3225 to approx. £5000-6000 a year. Combined with living costs - it would cost students anything upto £60k to study in the profession to a Part II standard. Then you have a average national salery of about £22-23k a year. Most people will be in their 40's trying to pay that much debt off! From which bottomless pit do you expect the majority of students to cough up an extra £25 a year? What planet are you on?
