Row erupts as housing secretary blocks mayor’s London Plan

Jenrick conveniently forgets that this country has no legislation to control 'housing delivery' to the world of commodity markets, where it can be all too easily viewed as a secure and appreciating investment with no real incentive to make it genuinely available to house people. Short term rentals of the 'air bnb' variety surely don't count as housing - and neither should longer term rentals that exploit the shortage to gouge residents for all they're worth. London is surely at the epicentre of this iniquity.
