Weekend roundup: ‘Inappropriate’ interventions at Poundbury

This is all very old-hat and prejudiced! Residents (both Dorset-born and incomers) seem extremely happy living in such a convenient, well-planned and maintained urban environment with a wide variety of architectural styles and contemporary interiors, with fantastic access to the coast and beautiful countryside. The recent Open for Art programme (18 May-June 2) revealed the creativity of the many outstanding artists who chose to live here, inspired by the vision of the whole Poundbury team (The Poundbury Farmhouse Collective Exhibition was a good starting point). See also the literary and photographic anthology "Dorset Voices" (a project of Poundbury Voices, Roving Press, 2012, with a foreword by HRH The Prince of Wales.
