Let’s hope the lessons of Carillion’s failure will be learned

Couldn’t agree more, my concerns over the flawed procurement route over the past two decades had fallen on deliberately deaf ears. Hopefully the profession put a case for returning the PSA and County Architects departments to deliver public projects sustainably and honourably for the public purse. We have just honoured Neave Brown for his service to public housing. Designing buildings first and then building them will always be better, a contractor’s design team will never be allowed to design to the needs of the end-user. No matter how much they might try or claim to.
