Ian Ritchie: ‘The Garden Bridge’s backers live in an alternate reality defined by privilege’

David Aaronovitch's piece in today's Times newspaper refers to sinister undercurrents that might to be in the way of thorough and honest examination of the root causes of both the recent tower fire disaster and the suspicions of the historic and maybe ongoing involvement of the 'great and the good' in paedophilia. But the performances of some of the lead players in the Garden Bridge saga - notably our Foreign Minister, the hon. Boris Johnson - are surely further threads in the same culture of 'deluded arrogance and hubris exhibited by the powerful and well connected'.
