Tributes paid to 'thinking man's architect' Bryan Avery (1944-2017)

I first met when we were both on the MA History & Theory of Design course at Essex University (taught by Joseph Rykwert and Dalibor Vesely) and we have stayed in touch ever since, often at The Architecture Club events. He was a very sensitive architect and it is sad that so many of his exciting projects remained unbuilt. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him Michael Foster
