@John Chatley. There are non-combustible insulants, so why clad a 24 storey block with combustible ones - other than to save money. Fire breaks do not always work well, and the fire spreads so quickly no-one can guarantee that everyone will escape. An un-professional viewpoint when other's lives are at risk. Look at this video of a test in Germany in 2011 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EL9-_27H04 After 3 minutes the insulant was fully ablaze and dripping burning plastic. They are now installing EXTERNAL sprinklers on overclad building.
