Housing White Paper: what you need to know

The White Paper is a 102 page document with Affordable Housing relegated to an Appendix on pages 99-100, and with Sustainable Design allocated 1 page at 102. It is clear the British Housing Market is broken, and it is now clear the current Government are either unable or unwilling to formulate policies to fix it. Perhaps the greatest error is the lack of Leadership on releasing Green Belt Land. Affordable Housing Policy is not working and it is time it were reviewed and repealed, possibly to be replaced with a Local Land Tax to provide Local Authorities with funds to build new homes and to repair broken homes.
