Oh Atticus, I fear my sides need stitching back together at your wit and wisdom. Who needs Stewart Lee with you around, eh? At least have the decency to spell the town you're lampooning correctly. Is it wise, Simon? Well, the place is an hour away from the Mersey belt and a spit further for the major Yorkshire conurbations. It's different to Eden Cornwall - there's much better initial connectivity and there's more day/weekend trip potential. The partners behind it are serious players and Eden themselves they can make it work commercially after the initial capital and public funding play. So why not? Given the money strewn over heffalumps like the Garden Bridge and other vanity projects this is an altogether different proposition. A "game changer" indeed.
