Construction is nearing completion on a house designed by De Rosee Sa on the site of a former garage in Hammersmith, West London
The £450,000 scheme will replace the ageing structure which sat in between terraced gardens and a row of 16 garages.
The owners live across the road and had originally bought the awkward site to prevent it from being developed but have now decided to build a house on it themselves.
The two-bedroom house is just a single storey above ground due to planning restrictions and features a basement level to provide extra accommodation space.
There was also a restriction on placing windows in the boundary wall so a pair of atria bring light into courtyard spaces within the 132m2 building.
The scheme is expected to complete later this summer.
