Drone footage has been released of Bjarke Ingels Group’s Lego House, which will open in Denmark next month

Lego has published a five-minute video taken from the air as construction nears completion on the 12,000m² visitor attraction in Billund.

BIG has designed a building created by 21 huge white ‘bricks’ crowned with an oversized Lego brick. The house will accommodate four ‘experience zones’ as well as attractions, terraces and food areas.

Construction started in 2014, and the building is due to open to the public on 28 September.

Lego House general manager Jesper Vilstrup said: ‘This will be an amazing place where Lego fans, their families and friends can experience or re-experience the playfulness of the Lego universe.’

To commemorate the opening of the building, Lego will sell a new architecture set allowing fans to build a miniature version of the Lego House. Lego Architecture Lego House will consist of 774 pieces, and be colour co-ordinated to show the different zones in the house. However, it will only be available for sale at the Lego House in Billund.
