Video: latest drone footage reveals Foster's Apple HQ taking shape

  • Comment

This new video taken from a drone gives an intriguing insight into the construction of Foster + Partners’ Californian HQ for technology giant Apple

The massive 1 million m² doughnut-shaped development will include an auditorium, sports centre, offices, and research facilities.

The practice recently completed an employee restaurant in Cupertino for the firm behind the iPad and the iPhone. The scheme was led by Woman Architect of the Year Award finalist Cristina Segni. The staff cafeteria was the first Foster + Partners project in Cupertino and was particularly challenging, due to its very tight schedule – a year and a half from concept to completion.
