Video: Foster + Partner’s scheme for Cardiff transport interchange

  • Comment

This video reveals Foster + Partners competition-winning plans for a ‘breath-taking’ new transport interchange in Cardiff city centre

The scheme will also include homes, 18,580m² of offices and a 200 bed-hotel and is being billed as ‘an integral part’ of the wider Central Square regeneration area, which the practice is also masterplanning.

The proposed new interchange will link ‘travellers to bus, train, bicycle and taxi networks’ and will sit on the Marland House/NCP car park site.

The project has also been designed to ‘allow for the METRO [cable car] concept to be incorporated’.

Detailed plans are expected to be submitted to Cardiff City Council at the end of 2015.
