A new video has been released showing how a proposed high-speed Hyperloop tranpsort system in Dubai could work

The film showcases BIG’s early proposals for the terminals serving the emerging transportation technology which features passenger capsules fired along pneumatic tubes at up to 1,190km per hour.

Unveiled by Space X and Tesla-founder Elon Musk three years ago, a prototype for the low-pressure system is currently being trialled by Hyperloop One in the Mojave desert.

BIG, AECOM and Arup were announced as architectural partners for the test track project – 56km north of Las Vegas – earlier this year. Multimillion Hyperloop systems are also currently planned in central Europe and Scandinavia.

The video, which was put together by Squint/Opera, shows a worker leaving Abu Dhabi and heading home to Dubai - a distance of 124km which would be covered in just 10 minutes.
