The Timber Research and Development Association has released this video of Ditchling Museum of Art by Adam Richards Architects

The £2.3 million revamp and expansion of the Ditchling museum in Sussex, masterminded by Adam Richards Architects, features in this new video.

The museum of art + craft showcases work by David Jones and Eric Gill - who established the Catholic craftsmen’s society the Guild of St Joseph & St Dominic in the village in the early twentieth century.

The museum offically reopened in 2013 and won the cultural building category in the 2014 AJ Retrofit Awards.

Adam Richards Architects described the ‘bold scheme’ as the ‘antithesis of the white box museum’ with ‘carefully crafted new spaces…..allowing the collection to enter into a poetic dialogue with the place that they were made’.
