Threefold reveals plans for rural homes in Oxfordshire

  • Comment

Camden-based Threefold Architects has drawn up proposals for a 14-home development in rural Oxfordshire

The practice said the strategic masterplan for the site, currently a disused farm with several agricultural buildings, had been influenced ’by the formation and growth of surrounding villages’. The design of the buildings, the firm said, was inspired by the local vernacular of ’long houses, gabled houses and farmsteads’.

The 2,800m² scheme effectively ’redistributes’ the total permitted development rights of the plot ’in the form a residential only development clustered around three nodes’.
