That looks familia - Gaudi chapel to be built in Chile

  • Comment

The Chilean president has given the go-ahead for the construction of a chapel designed by Antoni Gaudí in 1922

The move follows a long-running campaign by Spanish non-profit organisation Corporación Gaudí de Triana to get the shelved project built.

Gaudi’s designs, originally for Franciscan friar Angélico Arando, feature a 30m-tall tower and subterranean rooms.

The scheme, the first Gaudi project outside of Spain, will be built within the Parque Cataluña, Rancagua, Chile and is set to complete in 2017.
