Architects from Foster + Partners, Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners (RSHP), and Heatherwick Studio are among the teams set to take part in this year’s 15 mile-long Maggie’s Culture Crawl
The night-time walk, which aims to raise money for the cancer care charity, will take in a host of landmark London buildings including the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Foster + Partners’ studio, the RSHP’s Stirling Prize-winning Maggie’s West London centre and the V&A.
This year’s route has been curated by former National Portrait Gallery director Sandy Nairne, who has based the walk around the theme ‘people and places’.
He said: ‘It is my privilege to curate the 2015 Maggie’s Culture Crawl, a 15-mile cultural night-walk that will cross London on the night of 18 September. As a selector of many exhibitions this is the most intriguing creative and curatorial challenge. My theme for this year is ‘People and Places’, I like the idea of telling stories that connect people to places that may not get noticed – finding the hidden connections.’
