St Paul's restoration is honoured

Purcell Miller Tritton's work on St Paul's Cathedral has been recognised at the Georgian Group Architectural Awards

The restoration of St Paul's Cathedral by Martin Stancliffe of Purcell Miller Tritton was recognised at this year's Georgian Group Architectural Awards.

The Christopher Wren-designed masterpiece was returned to its original glory after undergoing a £40 million face lift.

Martin Stancliffe was handed the award in the Restoration of a Georgian Church category.

Quinlan and Francis Terry Architects was handed the award for a New Building in the Classical Tradition, while Purcell Miller Tritton picked up a second gong for its restoration pf the Darnley Mausoleum (see before and after shots below).
