Tower Hamlets has approved plans for Squire and Partners’ 29-storey tower at 1 Park Place, Canary Wharf, east London
The scheme for the Canary Wharf group, which has been granted outline planning application, will include around 90,000m2 of office space.
The developer also secured the final thumbs up for a 65,000m² office block designed by KPF at nearby 1 Bank Street. This 27-storey scheme includes three levels of trading floors, a ground-floor shop, a free-standing kiosk on South Dock Promenade, new public realm, landscaping, a basement car and cycle parking and a new decked promenade at the South Dock edge.
Work on the KPF scheme is set to begin later this year but Canary Wharf Group said it had no immediate plans to begin work on the Squires & Partners’ site.
