Small Projects 2015 shortlist revealed: £0 - £125k

Part One: We reveal the 12 projects costing between £0 and £125k shortlisted in this year’s AJ Small Projects Award

The AJ presents the first 12 of the 24 shortlisted schemes for the annual award – those with a value between £0-125K – and we’ve arranged them in terms of cost: cheapest first, most expensive last.

As ever, or perhaps more than ever, the finalists this year are a diverse mix.

There’s a stage, a studio and a bar; a beach tower, a climbing frame and a room made of glass; a bike shelter, a market hall and a children’s gallery in the Science Museum; there’s a stargazing chamber and a community shed; there’s even a pavilion called ‘Smith’.

All the shortlisted architects will go on to present their schemes in front of a judging panel before a winner is revealed on the 18 March.

The finalists designs will all go on display in an exhibition at the Building Centre on Store Street from 18 March to 11 April.

Last year the award was picked up by Chris Dyson Architects’ 13 Wapping Pierhead, while the Sustainability Prize went toGillespie Yunnie’s staircase at the Royal William Yard in Plymouth.
