Security was tight at the press opening of the much-photographed, two-bedroom holiday home designed by the now-dissolved FAT together with artist Grayson Perry.
Two burly, black-suited security guards stood sentry at the gates to the house for Living Architecture, which will be available to rent for up to £150 per person per night. Speaking at the launch, architect Charles Holland said that security was paramount on this project.
‘The one thing they stated we couldn’t have was a copper roof as they were worried people might nick it,’ said the architect. ‘Which is a funny concern when the house is full of original Grayson Perry artwork.’
