Sixtwo Architects reveals rowing club and housing scheme

Manchester-based Sixtwo Architects has submitted plans for this rowing club and housing project by the Bridgewater Canal in Altrincham

The scheme includes 16 homes alongside a new clubhouse and community centre.

The homes, which are designed to meet zero carbon standards, will be a mix of social-rented housing and homes for private sale.

Designed for the Trafford Housing Trust, the site will act as testbed for the social landlord to try its hand at the private sale market.

The development will be built from prefabricated panels and the homes will be clad in brick, while the rowing club is to be clad in timber.

The project  is set to start on site in Spring 2015.
