Shortlist for RIBA South West Awards revealed

  • Comment

Schemes by Jamie Fobert, 6a Architects and Feilden Fowles are among 13 projects shortlisted for regional awards by RIBA South West

The selected projects, which range from a cats and dogs home at Bath to a food production facility in Somerset, were selected from 35 entries.

The shortlist also includes five new and revamped houses as well as a pair of housing developments – at Bristol and Temple Cloud in Somerset.

RIBA South West regional director Jon Watkins said: ‘RIBA Awards always bring out the best in local and national architects across our vast region, and this year’s shortlist offers quality, diversity of type and scale, excellence in design, and lots of delight’

The 13 buildings will now be assessed by a regional jury with the winners announced at the Apex Hotel, Bath, on 16 May,

All the regional award winners will be considered for the RIBA National Awards with the successful recipients announced in June. Those collecting national awards will then be considered for the RIBA Stirling Prize.
