[FIRST LOOK + PLANS + PROJECT DATA] Ryder Architecture has submitted plans for this 16,000m secondary school in Lerwick, in the Shetland Isles

The 1,180 place school also includes a neighbouring halls of residence designed to accommodate 100 pupils.

The plan is arranged in two wings with a central atrium space.

The £40million timber-clad scheme features traditional pitched roofs to minimise the effects of driving rain and gale force winds.

Set to complete in July 2016, the scheme will begin on site in January 2015.
