Rogers' £227m Geneva airport wins planning

  • Comment

Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners’ [RSHP] proposed new £227 million terminal at Geneva airport has been given the green light

Linked to the existing buildings at the Swiss airport, RSHP’s scheme for the ‘Aile Est’ or east terminal is 520m long.

It will provide departures and arrivals halls, gate lounge seating for departing passengers, first class airline lounges and technical basements.

The new terminal responds to an increase in in commercial activity in medium and long-haul flights at the airport, and it will replace an existing facility, built in the 1970s to allow the airport to handle jumbo jets.

The project is set to complete in 2020.
