RIBA to screen documentary on women in architecture

She Draws: She Builds will be shown by the RIBA across 10 venues

The RIBA is screening a 30-minute documentary on women’s experiences in architecture in 10 venues across the UK

She Draws: She Builds will be shown this week to celebrate International Women’s Day on Thursday 8 March.

A trailer of the film has been watched more than 1,000 times.

RIBA said in a statement: ‘This informal event aims to bring together women in architecture, encouraging conversations and collaboration.

’Come and see if the film reflects your experience in the industry, and chat with other current and aspiring architects.’

  • Reading – Thames Lido – 6pm on 3 March
  • Leicester – De Montford University – 3pm on 7 March
  • Gateshead – Gateshead Civic Centre - 12pm on 8 March
  • Leeds – The Chambers – 12pm on 8 March
  • Brighton – RH Partnership Architects – 6pm on 8 March
  • Canterbury – Hazle McCormack Young – 6pm on 8 March
  • Lincoln – University of Lincoln – 6pm on 8 March
