The AJ can reveal the six projects built for less than £1 million that have been shortlisted for this year’s RIBA Stephen Lawrence Prize
A mobile artists studio, two house extensions, a primary school, a prototype housing scheme and a tin-clad home are all in the running for the £5,000 prize.

The award which was set up in memory of the murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence recognises projects with a budget of less than £1 million.
The prize is being judged by founder Marco Goldschmied, Stephen Lawrence’s mother Doreen Lawrence, and last year’s winner Niall McLaughlin.
It has previously been won by practices including Duggan Morris, Alison Brooks Architects, Cottrell & Vermeulen and Softroom.
The winner of the 2016 Stephen Lawrence Prize will be announced at the RIBA Stirling Prize party on 6 October at the RIBA in central London.
