RIAS launches hunt for Scotland’s top 100 buildings

  • Comment

As part of its centenary celebrations the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) is on the hunt for the country’s favourite buildings

The organisation is asking the people of Scotland to nominate the favourite Scottish building from the last 100 years.

RIAS president Willie Watt, said: ‘The last hundred years have seen two world wars, the heady days of the 1920’s and 1960’s, economic ups and downs and now a shared desire for sustainability’.

To enter a building email its name, address and architect to liz.baillie@rias.org.uk.

The top five suggestions will each win a £100 voucher for RIAS’s bookshop.

The deadline for submissions is 30 October 2015, and the buildings which make the list will be decided by a panel of leading historians and architects.
