Sixty years since the death of the Pentagon architect, G Edwin Bergstrom, these jaw-dropping new infographics show the scale of the world’s largest office building

The Pentagon, the USA’s Headquarters of the Department of Defense in Virginia, is the world’s largest office building. With over 603 869m² of total floor - three times the size of the floor space of the Empire State Building in New York.

It contains seven floors and ten corridors that divide the building into five wedge shapes that give it its distinctive shape.
