Make's Scottish office reincarnated as 7N Architects

Former employees of the Edinburgh office closed by Make late last year have formed their own practice

7N Architects – named after the seven architects involved and their northerly location – was established at the beginning of January and says it has the support of Ken Shuttleworth’s practice.

The new practice has several long term projects lined up including two former Make schemes: the new Inverness Campus for the University of the Highlands and Islands; and Westfield, a 193-home mixed-use development for Dunedin Canmore Housing Association in Edinburgh (pictured).

‘In many ways it is a good time to be starting up as a lot of established certainties are no more,’ says Ewan Anderson, who heads up the practice. ‘Many people are looking to rethink how they do things so there are opportunities out there for fresh ideas and approaches.
