Mae gets green light for Wandsworth homes

  • Comment

Wandsworth Council has granted planning permission for this housing scheme by Mae on the Putney Vale estate in south-west London

Plans for the 2,097m² project at the Stag Lane site include a new four-storey building providing 21 homes, including nine flats for disabled residents, arranged around two circulation cores.

Alex Ely, principal of Mae, said: ‘Our design will not only provide more suitable accommodation for disabled residents in the borough, but free up larger, family-sized units in the local area that are currently under-occupied.’

Backed by the council, the flats are part of a wider scheme to deliver 300 homes in the borough over the next few years.

Work is expected to start on site in September, with a completion date scheduled for September 2018.
