London’s Arch Film Fest to screen AJ Zaha documentary

The AJ’s documentary on the legacy of Zaha Hadid has made the festival selection for the inaugural Architecture Film Festival in London next week

The film, which was released on the anniversary of Hadid’s death earlier this year, looks back on the starchitect’s life and the progress of her remarkable career through a series of her key buildings.

Featuring interviews with friends and colleagues, including Eva Jiřičná, Patrik Schumacher, Nigel Coates, Giovanna Melandri, Hanif Kara and Ricky Burdett, the film was shoot on location in Italy, Germany and England.


The showing will be followed by a Q&A with filmmakers Laura Mark and Jim Stephenson.

The biennial festival, which runs 6-11 June, celebrates architectural film through screenings, symposia, workshops and an international film competition.
