Let’s go shopping for a high-tech home

One of the Grimshaw-designed Hi-Tech flats in Camden has gone up for sale with a price tag of £650,000

The one-bedroom flat, part of a row of housing overlooking the Grand Union Canal, was part of the architect’s £14 million Sainsbury’s supermarket development.

Matt Gibberd, managing director of the Modern House, which is selling the property, said: ‘Nicholas Grimshaw is a very well-known architect and it’s pretty rare to be able to live in something of that sort of standing for £650,000.

‘Most of the important High-Tech buildings are things like airports or grand municipal buildings.’

It’s handy for the shops too.
