Planned to complete in 2019, the scheme is part of a larger £2 billion development which will feature a new 400 metre-tall headquarters for the state-owned China Resources company.

Claude Touikan, Director and Co-founder of Lead 8 commented: ‘We are delighted to be selected as the winning team for this prestigious project in Shenzhen Bay.

‘We are excited to work with China Resources to develop a new typology for this lifestyle oriented retail development that encapsulates the essence of Shenzhen Bay.’

Originally set up to supply the People’s Liberation Army during the Chinese Civil War, the China Resource company is now the 21st largest state-owned enterprise in the country.
