Last chance to enter the Housing Design Awards

  • Comment

The deadline for this year’s Housing Design Awards has been extended to 4 March

Launched in 1948, the long-running awards are backed by government and a number of professional institutions including the RIBA.

The awards, which recognise both completed and proposed schemes, will be handed to around 12 of the UK’s best housing schemes.

Special awards will also go to the best private rental homes, housing for the ageing population, and the best development for a social landlord.

Last year the top accolade was picked up by Proctor & Matthews’s Abode housing scheme in Cambridge. Prizes also went to Pitman Tozer’s Mint Street, Alison Brooks planned riverside development in Bath, and Panter Hudspith’s Royal Road scheme in Southwark.

The deadline for entries is 4 May, and the winners will be revealed in July 2015.

Further details on how to enter can be found online, here.
