Kettle Collective has revealed its designs for a £1 million holiday home for the families of children with cancer

The scheme for the Edinburgh-based charity It’s Good 2 Give, will sit on the banks of Loch Venacher in the Trossachs National Park, Scotland.

Known as the Ripple Retreat, the 260m² three-bedroom house features a ‘ripple-shaped’ roof and large expanses of glazing providing views across the loch.

According to the charity, the house will be ‘modern and sleek with all the comforts of home including toys, books, games and activities’.

More than 40 families are expected to use the retreat each year for short breaks of up to a week long.

The building is due to complete in March 2016.
