Drawings by Richard Rogers, Zaha Hadid, Will Alsop, Ted Cullinan and Eva Jiřičná will be auctioned off in aid of construction charity, Article 25
The drawings by 100 of the city’s most prominent architects and designers including Alison Brooks, Terry Farrell, Ian Ritchie and Piers Gough, will be auctioned next month.
Now in its third year, 10x10 Drawing the City saw top architects allocated a spot to sketch in London’s East End, drawing landmarks such as the Barbican and Old Street Roundabout.
The artworks created will go on display to the public from 21 – 28 November at 1 Granary Square, London. Visitors will then have the opportunity to bid for selected pieces by attending a special charity live auction event on the 28 November. All proceeds of the sale of the artworks will go to Article 25’s Street Children Centres.
Maxwell Hutchinson, founder of Article 25, and former past president of the RIBA said: ‘Article 25 is an innovative charity with design, drawing and architecture at its very heart. This is the third year of its 10x10 event which celebrates all the visual representations of the built environment – whether it be drawing, photography, painting or sculpture. As in previous years, an array of well-known architects and artists will once again offer their skills and support for the benefit of those in need of sustainable shelter’.
