Ian Ritchie Architects has been selected by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to carry out the £35m transfromation of its Keppel Street Grade II building

The scheme will involve overhauling  20,000m2 of research laboratories and educational space into a new facility within the building.

The inaugural Center for World University Rankings by Subject in 2017 placed the London School of Hygiene first in the world for tropical medicine research. The School was named University of the Year 2016 by Times Higher Education.

In 2016, Ian Ritchie Architects completed the £70 million Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for University College London, on the corner of nearby Howland Street and Charlotte Street in London’s Fitzrovia.
