Hairdressing reaches its pinnacle

The contestants on BBC2’s Hair, a competition to find Britain’s best amateur hairstylist, were asked to create a new style inspired by iconic architecture as part of the freestyle round.

Contestants emulated Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Bilbao, Marks Barfield’s London Eye and Herzog & de Meuron’s Bird’s Nest stadium.

The winner (above) drew inspiration from KPF’s now-abandoned design for  The Pinnacle in London.
