[FIRST LOOK + PROJECT DATA] Fletcher Crane Architects has submitted plans to refurbish and convert a building on London’s Borough High Street
The 430m² scheme will see the building, which is currently used as a hotel, turned into flats with shops at the ground floor.
A two-storey zinc-clad extension is being added at roof level giving views of Renzo Piano’s Stirling Prize-shortlisted Shard.
To the rear the existing building is being overclad with black brick while windows will be partially obscured with a perforated metal panel.
The project is set to start on site in April 2015.
