Featherstone Young wins planning to redevelop Grade II*-listed windmill

  • Comment

Featherstone Young Architects has been granted planning permission to redevelop a Grade II*-listed windmill in West Sussex

As well as repairing the derelict windmill, the remains of the neighbouring granary building will be overhauled, enclosed in a timber frame and converted into a music performance space and house.

Additionally an adjacent 1960s house will be refurbished and extended with an anodised aluminium roof extension.

Work is due to start on the site in the South Downs National Park later this summer.
