DLA Architecture has completed the £2.3million refurbishment and extension of Orleans Primary School in Twickenham
The Clerkenwell-based practice has added five classrooms, a nursery, kitchen, small hall, a new reception area and has completed an extension to the main hall of the school in south west London.
Placed along the perimeter of the site, and connected to the existing school by a glazed covered walkway, the new classrooms have pitched roofs and are lit by north facing roof lights.
As part of the development an existing Victorian block was also refurbishment and remodelled. Externally the school has been landscaped with the addition of a multi-purpose sports pitch.
